Artwork  Requirements.

In order to obtain the best resolution possible to ensure accuracy in promoting your company or brand is it essential that the correct file types are used to develop the required quality of branding.

The Files recommended are as follows:


ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR FILES: (AI)

These files are created using vector format which simply means that lines and curves used to display your logo are produced by way of using points. These points can be manipulated during the design stage without affecting the resolution quality of the design. These files can also be saved as PDFs, JPGs or even to EPS where it can be further developed using Adobe’s Photoshop package.


ENCAPSULATED POST SCRIPT: (EPS)

These files are commonly used when producing hi resolution graphics. Mainly used within the printing of textiles, web design, heat transfers and 4 colour process printing. These files originate from the use of pixels which fall common with photography.


PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT (PDF).

This particular file is commonly used in the printing industry. It is referred to as a portable document as a result of being unique in its way of being able to capture hi resolution content for further processing.

Companies are known to use this file type when producing documentation and illustration for hard copy and multimedia presentations.


JOINT PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPERTS GROUP (JPG OR JPEG)

These particular file types are mainly used as compressed files for viewing only. They are of low resolution and should not be used for the purpose of branding items.

They are commonly used when preparing creative visuals in order for clients to get a snapshot of what the branded item will appear once production has been completed. Commonly also used as a photo viewing files.
